Dr. Ashford was born in Gainesville, Ga., but has spent the majority of his life
residing in Texas. He, along with his wife, are graduates of Lake Dallas High
School. He is also an honors graduate of TWU where he received his B.S. in
Biology. Dr. Ashford attended medical school at the Texas College of Osteopathic
Medicine in Ft. Worth where he received a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine.
Upon completion of medical school, Dr. Ashford was awarded the Haman Memorial
Award for outstanding achievement in Family Medicine. He then completed a Family
Medicine Residency Program at McLennan County Medical Education and Research
Foundation in Waco and is board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Ashford and
his wife, Brenda, have four children: Alexis, Alyssa, Aiden, and Aaron.
